Elena Martins is a professional dancer, dance instructor, and arts administrator from Boston, MA. She began her training at Donna Miceli Dance Center and The Academy of Ballet Arts before graduating magna cum laude from SUNY Buffalo with a BA in dance and a minor in speech and hearing sciences. Elena's performance career spans national and international stages, with experience in dance companies on both coasts. These include Prometheus Dance and Lorraine Chapman The Company (Boston); LEVYdance, Sarah Berges Dance, Axis Dance Company, RAWdance, West Edge Opera, Bellwether Dance Project, Robert Moses’ KIN, and Liss Fain Dance (San Francisco Bay Area), among others. A dedicated educator, Elena has taught at prestigious institutions such as The School of Classical Ballet (Cambridge, MA), Jeannette Neill Dance Studio (Boston, MA), Dana Hall Upper School (Wellesley, MA), Boston Dance Company, Shawl-Anderson Dance Studio (Berkeley, CA), and Berkeley City Ballet. She currently serves on the faculty at ODC School (San Francisco, CA), The East Bay Center for Performing Arts (Richmond, CA), and Piedmont Ballet Academy, and has led master classes throughout the US and abroad. Elena also possesses a strong aptitude for arts administration. Her experience includes roles as Company Manager for Sarah Berges Dance, Company Coordinator for ZiRu Dance, and Managing Director for Robert Moses' KIN. Passionate about all facets of dance, she feels privileged to contribute to the field in diverse capacities.
